Stick with the right impellar. Been there done that on the veins. Feel no difference. Stubby cone is a slight notice of brap thrust though.

lets just say I have been haurding. But even with haurding I still havnt spent as much as a skat pump new is.

Thanks that's what I wanted to hear. You are right the most expensive part is a prop. Looks like I'm bending up my trailing edge next time I take the pump out. My ski is more like a race boat with a 15deg trailing edge

Although my setup was suffering from some sort of carb issue that I think was popoff related, I think the prop was good. Cutback 6/12 in a maxx 155 with a stubby cone.
 
One thing to watch out for, some of the 155 nozzles have a built in upward angle, some are straight. The upward angle made my Chan porpoise horribly, switched to a straight nozzle made a huge difference and now you can cruise around no problem.

Probably will have different affects on different hulls, and also if the ONLY thing you care about is backlips the upward angled nozzle will give you more angle on the trim with the stock trim ring, basically it just starts trimmed up ~5 degrees already, so your total trim angle is increased that amount.
