300/440/550 1988 & 1990 Havasu pic's

Does anyone have pics of Victor Sheldons 91 boat with the IRS fuel injection system? Or even any boat at all with the IRS efi on it?

Sorry, I didn't go that year (I would have had taken pix). The whole IJSBA thing started it's downward spiral soon after that. Damn couchers.... Those pro guys and crew chief's kept the engine covers on those boats tight, (no peeking at the top secret, edge of tech stuff).

I know what you mean...

Like this sneaky little photo of Sheldons engine in the pits. Tuning his efi system.

...Must have had good zoom and no one was looking :)

classic!!!

Once in a great while I mention "Crash" and no one knows who I am talking about- I should have figured you knew him. Remember that three hundred dollar Buick he used to show up with towing that 10k ski? Lodi Nor Cal finals 89 nobody could touch him.

thanks for the pics- Wish I had some from the days. Did you know Mike Melby?

All the big money boats had efi- back then it was $3,500. Back then you had to have two boats to race cause the 440 class was huge too! Mod was king but they all raced a lot.

Stock, super-stock and mod - that was it nothing else. Should have stayed the same.

Here's a recent discovery (old S-VHC tape) of the GORILLA in action. It is right after Jeff Jacobs kicks butt in a Pro Mod heat.

If you listen closely you can hear the announcer say " The Gorilla Strikes Again".

Hey Gorilla...have a little trouble pulling out of that tail stand?? (heavy banana suit) That motor was buzzing hard! Your boat sounded good!

Swanny,
Did you know anyone that used those efi systems? Just wondering how you knew the price thats all? And yeah... thats damn expensive! Wasn't a brand new ski back then like $1999.00?
