Got my cool........ Cock plate? Whatever sits behind the broken cock flap. Installed and drilled for primer. Waiting for said primer from amazon

My ride plate even came in!!

New bilge pump in and bracket.

Also put my conversion bearing on. One of the bolts is sheared off don't know how I forgot about that... Broke an easy out in it. . Save that repair for the 750/winter V3. Sure it'll hold up short term. I'll put my flame hat on. I'll get maybe 2 weeks of riding tops post SFF before all the homies pack it up.

1000062128.jpg

I hastily just chopped up the wires out the ebox, cause I'll just weather pack them up. I wasn't about to run all the nonsense out of the pole, nor was I going to undo the stator wires taking the box apart. So last little thing to do tomorrow then I'm waiting waiting.

1000062130.jpg

Just need the driveshaft. It's sitting at the ATL USPS distribution center which might as well be the Bermuda triangle where ski parts go to die. Fingers crossed.

Also managed to stumble upon a slightly shorter skat on Facebook. Should be a good paring for the 650 if it shows up in time.

Whew

Driveshaft came in!

Finally got to do some test fitting. I quickly realized the 440 couplers(I think) I was using will not be working for this setup. They're both a few inches deep. Motor sat way too far forward. So I did 100 laps around my shop. Put numerous engines on the floor, driveshafts in vise. And I only came up with 1 of the couplers I needed off a stock 650 I had laying around. Put it on the driveshaft, tried fitting up with 1 of the thicker ones. Nope. Still too far forward. I had a 20mm one the correct depth. Slipped it over for fun just to see if it was the right length combo. Bang on. Sadly if I just went 750 right now Id be using a 20mm on the engine side and should just skate over this issue.

Called up LPW and scrambled over to grab a pair of ADA couplers. 1 18mm 1 20mm(guess Ill use that in the future)

Fits PERFECT
THANKS @Jr.

Got to the wiring. I come from Seadoo's so I have an infinite supply of weatherpacks, literally an 8x8x8 box full to the brim of old recycled Seadoo connectors. Love them. Ignore the goober. It came that way

1000062144.jpg

Finally got to install my BatteryCablesUSA leads and connectors. They're as clean as your ability to measure. I went a little long on the main lead, and the starter lead oh well. I've had great success with grounds being
motor > ebox < battery
So stuck with that here.

I really wanted to hear it turn over and see some spark. And like an absolute idiot of course with the battery plugged in shorted the starter terminals. Got my wish.

1000062145.jpg

Hopefully new pump and nozzles tomorrow so I can get alignments sorted

Praying impeller shows up at a reasonable time. Also missing a bow eye thingy that's in USPS jail. Bilge pump wiring. Real close though.

They're way too easy with the proper tools. It blows me away when people cut them into pigtails and use typical crimps to fix things
Agreed I have bags of those connectors here and I use them all the time , the new Seadoo DESS posts are just wires , you have to add the proper connectors to them , but if the DESS post wires run all the way to the MPEM I am cutting them somewhere upstream and putting in a weatherpack connector , it makes it easier for me or whoever works on it next time.

Morning score!
Got a ton of different nozzle sizes and a few pumps!

1000062164.jpg

Decided I wanted to no longer be deaf from the WestCoast box. And decided to commit to a 717 Seadoo box. Ripped out the fuel filler hose. Shoved it in there so I can get some Amazon silicone ordered up. That'll be here tmrw. I'll have to order an internal fill.. but short term I'll just be fuel sending unit removing pleb on refills.

It's 2" stinger > water box in & out and we'll gonna taper back down to 1 7/8 on the rear exit.

I'm gonna try something goofy.. I love the side exits.... So I'm gonna have a buddy build me a 1or 1 1/4 in side exit whenever he's free. So I can little JS smoke clouds. And net myself at least 2" of an effective exit with both side + rear exit. Need to remember some basic geometry & algebra.

Plumbed the main cooling line. Did the bilge pump wiring. For some reason keep forgetting to do the bilge hose. It's in my shops loft and fail to grab it everytime I go up there.

Just finished marking the pump to drill the holes and cut it. And well basically died.

Smacked my head into the corner of my tool box drawer. IDIOT.

1000062161.jpg

Got all patched up and left myself a note for the future.

1000062165.jpg

Drilled the pump. Decided maybe tonight wasn't the night for an angle grinder. Glued some turf onto the waterbox and cleaned up some tools.

1000062168.jpg

Not as much as I wanted to get done today. But we're chugging along.

I have to say this before you get any farther , you are going to be running that Seadoo box in reverse flow from how it is designed to be run, it may work just fine or you may have some issues due to the internal baffling.

If you know someone else that's done it like this and it's worked out ok then fine , honestly I am just not sure about running it that way.

Nooo it's correct pathway

Stinger to straight section long wise
The one out the top perp goes to the outlet on Seadoo's.

You could be right about orientation. Sure it'll be fine though.

Buddy distracted me today building some pitbike trails. So naturally I stayed up way too late working on this thing

Cut new pump and test fitted it 1000 times, shimmed it to sit flat with the shoe, and aligned the motor. Happy with the outcome. Had to bore out the holes on the engine bed plate to scoot it back some more. Nothing crazy

Glued in the pump finally, bolted the grate on, got the cooling line in there. Finally did the forgotten bilge hose, trimmed the ride plate a bit for easier in and out. Got waterbox hose routing riddled. Super super close. Test fit tank just to make sure it still all fit.

It lives!!

I gotta figure out a new throttle bracket solution cause this haggard thing doesn't reach anymore with motor scooted back. And bolt up the nozzle, ride plate, align steering. Hopefully test tomorrow.

Stopped for the day cause went and bought "the prince" off a buddy. Another ski from our big haul.

Just stopped for the night and basked in the glory.
