Super Jet 1993 superjet make over

so today i just pick up my project hull 1993 sn superjet this is what i would like to do!!!!!!
hopefully get some pics on tomorrow

hull mods
shorten 3"
rear side exhaust
foot wells
run pipe form trim cable in the future
reshape nose
refoam maybe ping pong or combo
rn handle pole

hood mods
lighten
fill vents
hand holds
fill body line

if any one has some good CHEAP ideas let me know love to hear them!!

i got 75% of the decals off to day and got all of the fiber glass air vent stuff out takeing it to work and grinding the green glue out tomorrow then glassing the vents and sanding

got all of the vents cut out, i can glass it as soon as i get some foam and im trying to decide if i want to cut 3" of the back or less or any at all. I would like to be able to push it around a little better in the water

got the taken out just have to clean up a few spot and washed the engine bay and found some cracks not posative about the best way to fix it but im thinking about grinding a slit v in the crack and then filling it with fiber glass and tiger hair then putting carbon fiber over the hole engine bay i dont want to cut the ribbs out but i think i have to any ideas let me know

thanks so the last few days ive been defoaming fun fun and got my crappy should never have baught extremy unconftuble 24/7 foot holds that take alot of cutting to put in all most fitted like i want

i got my foam this week and a free style porting kit. time to start working on it again now that schools died down a bit

fiberglass is do in today maybe my hood will be done for the april ride

Did you decide if you were going to lay carbon in the engine bay?

i haven't i would like to but i will just have to see how thick the wallet is when i get that far. i started one side of my hood last night i used the 3:1 epoxy and i woke up and it was still sticky. i used 6 pumps of resin and 2 pumps of hardener and mixed it really well i dont know what i could have done wrong but. could it be too could out side? its only 50 during the day and around 30 at night.

the hood is out in the sun to make it harden. will start posting pic when my parents get back from vacation with the cam.

When its colder like it is now , it takes longer for the epoxy to cure , give it 2 days

yeah i notice i put it in the sun and it has cured quite a bit its just sticky now

glassing has been slow since its been so cold out side. this week i hope to glass the back where i cut off 3" and do the other side of my hood

i just put a layer of the 1708 on the nose and it wouldn't lay flat so i put some self tappers to hold it in spot hope they come out easy.

i layed more glass on the nose last night and wrapped it in saran wrap and it worked great. im going to do the other side of the hood with it, i hope it works as good as the first time

its 70 out side nice day for some fiberglassing to bad im stuck in side writing a stupid research paper almost done with my 8th page. im also working on getting a ac pole for a rn should look sick i hope it works out well with my blowsion handle pole mount.
