SX/SXi/SXi Pro 1995 750 Sxi Ebox Click

My Ebox will make a click sound when trying to start my ski for the summer. I replaced the started last year and when it went out before the starter would actually click so I do not think that it is the starter. I took the ebox apart and found the source of the clicking to be my starting solenoid. I ordered one off ebay and put it in and the same click kept happening. I checked all my connection and they seem good I even added a secondary ground and that did not help.

Then I notice that on my Voltage Regulator that the ground had melted the wire coating to bare. and every time I tried to start my ski the wires to my Stator wires would get hot but only the wires conected to the Voltage Regulator.
I got the ski not running and rebuilt the engine and the stator was extremely dirty but I cleaned it completely out when I first got the ski and have never had a problem with it.

Is my Stator the problem why my jet ski is not starting? or Is it a problem with my Voltage Regulator, or a wire grounded out somewhere? Need help

If any one has any idea please get back to me!! Would like to get back out on the water.

Sounds like a bad ,loose or corroded ground. A loose connection will cause a high amp and start melting wires. Which will also cause a week connection to engage high amperage to the starter.
It would be a good idea to ohm out the wires to check for continuity.

If it's melted, I would make a new one. Exposure of the wire to the elements will cause premature breakdown and eventually cause you a headache of problems all over again.

It could possibly be the stator, causing a bad connection. I've got a perfectly good stator and front cover I'd send you for $40

The main ground wire from your battery the engine case is stuffed. Replace it. The black wire for your stator is melting because the current for your starter is going thought it, as it is now the main ground connection.
