1995 Kawasaki X2 Resto

Picked up a low hour 99.9% unmolested 95 X2 I stumbled across. It came with pontoons and a bunch of spare parts. Been keeping an eye out for one with stock graphics for a long time and this one is in great shape so I snagged it. Plans are to clean up the 22 years of crud in the bottom of the hull and motor and ride until winter. Then I'll pull the motor and do a partial restoration by going through the motor and finish cleaning the inside of the hull. Definitely going to keep this stock and preserve a little bit of history.

Thanks! I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised with the condition. X2's are one of my favorite skis so I'm m glad I was able to find a nice one.

Was able to get it a little cleaned up today.

Will do. I'm sure I will need a start stop switch with a lanyard at a minimum. I think one out of a ZXI will work. Other than that I will be in the market for a impeller and a top loader.

Agree with Vumad. X2 was one of my first skis.Bought it and a 650 together.Then an old 440 right after. You do great work Mike! l’m sure it will be looking great in no time.

It’s definitely staying close to original as I can bear it. The only thing I changed is UMI steering, B pipe, lightened flywheel and Hooker 9/15 prop.

It had a running issue since I bought it and finally narrowed it down to the head not sealing. I had it milled and it seems to run much better.
