2 standups on a "single" pwc trailer?

I love my single trailer conversion. Its a Triton that I bolted 2 4x4's across to act as out riggers for the 2x4 ski bunks to bolt onto. The trailer is very small which i like so the skis sit overtop the wheels and I've been trailering hundreds of miles this past summer with just 1 ski on the trailer while the other ski is getting a maker over. I was nerviness at first but haven't ran into any issues. If i were to do it again I would make the center bunks on each set a bit closer to each other so i could run 1 ski right down the middle or 2 up on the out riggers. Because of the wooden 4x4's I can also bolt all my eye bolts thru it and get all my tie down strapping points perfect. And there is just enough room for a 3 up fuel jug rail. For the size you cant really beat it. I'll have it at SFF in a couple weeks if you want to look it over.

could you take a pic or two? I'd be interested in seeing your setup as I have something similar but have not finished it.

Yeah I though I had one on my phone but I'll have to snap a few pics this evening when I get home.

If you can, Post the width of your frame. Also post a picture of the brackets on the outer bunks so he knows what to buy.
Frame width is 47". All of the hardware is from some trailer depot site on the net - under $100

Thanks. The ideal setup for me would be able to run a single ski between the middle bunks and two skis as well without moving the bunks around. Not sure if that is even possible.

I could afford to move the bunks in more on my setup to be able to do exactly that, I'll post more pictures when I get home

With SJ it is possable and they just bairly dont rub at 12" bunk centers. The wider hulls might require a 5th bunk in the mix if you dont want to adjust them

I had originally done this trailer with wood bunks but that ended up being quite expensive and fairly heavy. I redid it with aluminum tubing and bunks and it was actually cheaper and much lighter.

Just like @DAG mentioned doing, I added a fifth bunk to allow setting a ski closer to the center when running solo.

My only complaint with this setup is the length and overall balance. I would like to reduce at least 2ft off the length and re-position the axle to improve the balance.

I had this same setup. Just a tip, if you ever decide to get rid of this trailer... When I removed my bunks, I braced it with 2x4 to make a triangle under my 4x4. It now is a rack so I can fit 2 skis in the bed of my truck. Previously the rails would rub. With the rack, the skis sit over the wheel wells and the rails do not rub anymore. The person buying the trailer was using it for something else so I just kept the wood when I sold it.

I have one similar as well. The problem is finding a way to mount it.

Mine has the pin set up currently but the Rickter uses the eyelet ring so these will be perfect for my situation. Thanks everyone.
