The ethanol most likely got your carbs, not the fogging. The diaphragms dried out.

Thank you. I suspected that. And by running the engine every month during the Winter in years previous, there was always fuel in and running through the carb each month, albeit with Stabil.

That is why I decided not to fog it and leave it until Spring. But to no fog it and run it every month until Spring. Maybe whack, but that's what worked before and is my plan for this coming Winter too.

Grrrr . . .

One more item I didn't use because I fogged the 550sx last Winter is the Primer.

Not only is there way too much air in the primer line, but even when I "prime" the primer line, it is not pulling fuel from the primer line and is, thus, not pushing fuel into the carb.

(This is where Tygon Fast Fuel Line is really helpful to visually watch fuel and air in the line. Although the Tygon fuel line gets brittle and has to be replaced every 3 years or so.)

Hopefully, the gasoline will rejuvenate it.

But I guess that ethanol could have destroyed whatever diaphragm it has in it too.

If you want to brap it monthly, that is fine
Just spray some fogging oil into carb while brapping

I use fogging Oil after each ride too, but notised that when engine was hot or running when fogging. The spark plug could get a bit corrotede but when engine is cold, or just cranking and Oil beeing addede ther is no corrotion has anybody have similar experience ???
