2 week build from nothing to something

So i'm without a ski once again for the Texas freeride so I decided at the last minute to try and build something. I had a sn hull sitting around and a handfull of hx steering parts so I decided to build a conversion ski.
So by week 1 I have the steering mounted, had to make a handle pole bracket and cut 5'' off the back. Tomorrow im going to glass the back and reinforce the inside cause im REALLY going to beat the crap out of this thing. I have to make some foot wells and a cowl to cover the steering cable.

As for the motor i'm going to stick this slow 650 motor in cause its all I got and I cant spend any money on this ski. It's all good thou I will just have to do wide open runs towards the waves:icon16:.
I have to change the drive shaft out of a blaster pump with one for a sn and that about does it. I'm sure a few things will pop up toward the end but I will have it by the texas freeride

That is insane! Now that you made it public, you HAVE TO get it done in time for the freeride... pressure is on! ha ha!

Needs more horsepower!:poke:

Ha... i'll have it done. The hardest thing ive had to sit through is going to the beach and not having a ski. That wont happen this time. I wish I could have more motor. This will have to do, I still think that it will for sure:barrel:

plus paint adds too much weight:veryhappy:. Its going to be a good time in crystal. Just ask and everyone can have their turn tearing it up

Be careful. The way the TX crew rides, she'll be broke in no time if you keep passing her around like a ho! Then you'll be sittin' on the beach again waiting for somebody else to pass their ho around.

Bring extra handlebars. I've seen assorted members of the TX crew break, um, 3(?) sets of bars now, I think. Oh, and steering cables. Lots of those broken.

Thats a cool conversion. I have always like the fixed steering conversions. I will be watching this thread for sure. Keep up the good work and the Mad Max theme. How did you attach the hood to the pole? I have an idea but was wanting to see some pics. Some day I will build one of these. Maybe out of one of the js440/550 hulls I have laying around....
