I called and was told that there is a third hotel that is under renovation.
The wife isn't too happy and is threatening to shut this trip down so can someone recommend a hotel in the area that doesn't have any construction going on ?
It doesn't have to be on the beach, just close.

Do a search for Daytona condo rentals. Try on for rent by owner or something like that. I found places for 7 nights as low as 200 plus 50 for cleaning and the 12.5% tax. I ended up renting what seems to be a real nice place for $350 for the 7 nights. Kitchen, into pool etc

Call the driftwood directly instead of the reservation service.

Waterfreak was told the driftwood was sold out by the reservation service last week, and all the swamp rats managed to get rooms by calling the hotel's front desk directly.
