Well, time to blow the dust off of this racing section, seeing it doesnt get much use haha.

Expert ski limited.... its a pretty popular class as a whole, but regionally it is not very strong. For 2007 I plan on racing expert ski limited, as well as expert/pro-am stock. up here in region 6, nobody races expert limited except myself and Jimmy Wilson. Down south and out west, expert ski limited is much more popular, and at nationals and world finals its a decent sized class.

I want to know, who is going to race this class this year, I know Kenny, KMAC, does, but I dont know his plans for next year. I think this class is a good middle ground class for those who want something more than stock class. Any ideas, thoughts, whatever you got... lets hear it, i'd like to se mroe guys in this class and hopefully we can get it to be a solid class for next season.

I'm still in and I know at least one more in region 7 who's building a ski for next season. Another class that is growing is the Am Open and most people have limited mods. See you on the line:headbang:

next season is up in the air for me, if I could build a mild limited I might step up, but going Pro-AM stock is most likely not going to happen......... tried it, until there is a straight expert stock then I wont fool with it.

BK, I thought they offered a straight expert stock at havasu this year, or was that the only place it appeared?

Kenny, who's building the ski? Im also thinking of doing amateur open

It was just offered in Havasu.

Brian Kemp is building a Limited. He will be running pro-am stock and Limited. I will definitely be running limited and not sure on my second class yet.

Am Open will probably bring the largest number of racers next season. With the blow out you'll recieve at WF's from the HS there is no need to was money trying to race stock.

Am Open is a nice class since it is basically limited's and a few supers in there as it is now. I've even seen quite a few people jump in there on stockers.

Here's a thought:

Who really wants to go the Worlds when we have Nashville (Branson for 07)?

For us here in the Midwest there's just about as much competition and you'll save, what? About $2,500 or more by going here instead? Yeah - I may hit Havasu next year, but I WILL do the Nationals.

Pro-Am Stock Ski or equivalent. No HS there; just talent to kick my lame @$$.

Oh chit. I didn't even answer your question. I won't race Ltd. I don't think anyone's going to race Ltd. You'll probably find yourself in Am Open; that's where people go when they can't deal with Pro-Am Stk or if they have a baby.

I also planned on amateur open, but thought it would be good to at least TRY to get expert limited back up and going.

As for pro-am stock, im not in it for a world title, I know the hydrospaces are sick in that class. Im in it for the rest of the events, and the fun, and being able to ride with guys that are much better than myself.

I agree that Nashville is the Best race all season. I've been 3 times and always look forward to the next year there. I support the idea of the "APBA World Finals" let the IJSBA do their own event....its the only one the put on each year here anyway.

What you talkin bout willis... I have been racing Expert Ski Limited in Region 6 Since '04... And I'll still be racing it in '07. Yeah, it is not the most popular class in Region 6... But on a national level it is pretty good still. I believe there were 14-15 on the line in Nashville and at least 28 at the 06 WF.

Who knows Maybe I'll be headed over to the other side of Lake Michigan for a round or 2 in 07. I know that there will be at least 1-2 events in Wisconsin on Lake Michigan. Plus a couple rounds in Pleasant Prairie WI (just over the IL border).

If the Can-Am goes back to Open rules I'll be there forsure.

I think the real class to be in will be Open though. I'll be on line for that too.

I am going to respectfully disagree with you on the APBA WF... (the APBA is not an international Sanctioning body). Plus the only reason I am an APBA member is because they are sanctioning races. If the IJSBA or the USWRA was still alive on a regional level I would be down for that over the APBA any day. I will continue to race because that is where the joy in the sport is for me, but I am not a fan of the leader of the APBA... (that is just my opinion though, I believe that he is bad for the sport as a whole and is in it for the wrong reasons $$$$$$$):banghead: :bs2: :banghead: :bs2:

That would be me :) I am going to run Expert limited but if turnouts are better in Amatuer open then I will run that class , maybe both . I ran my stock boat in those classes the last 2 years and did okay .cant wait to see how I do on a full limited !! I will continue to run Pro-am Stock . Considering that I will never go to the WF's I am not worried about racing HS's . Bill Haig and I have been riding mtn bikes and even going to the lake . I will be in tip top shape next year .:)

You better watch out, I am going to send that damn junior after you.
