08, no question. It's actually different than the past 11 years SJ.

Different bottom, setback pump, shorter pole.

I'm going through the same thing; save some $$$ by going with the current RN or wait and get the 08. I'm strongly leaning towards the 08, but if something comes up that I just can't pass I may have to buy it.

Unfortunately it is on the wrong side of the country.

But if you've seen my wrenching skills, you would understand why I place a high value on a ski that still has a warranty. :banghead:

that there is funny. he ships a lot, so that wouldn't be a problem i bet. i bet it would be pretty reliable, if you don't abuse it. it is set up for freestyle already. if you buy new and don't do engine work and leave it stock. the footholds, returfing, and other mods needed for freeride/freestyle would push you well over the 7000.00 mark.

If you are willing to wait for them to hit the dealers, GET THE 2008! I've ridden all 4 versions of superjet and the new one is by far the best. You will have the machine that is the result of all of us bitching for change. The rn is a great platform to start with, the 2008 is better handling and will save you $. Consider the price of a bottom deck conversion, Tubbies, longer driveshaft (and I don't remember seeing anything setback except a Skat magnum) for setback pump, stainless impeller and adhesive and rivets for a shorter pole (along with hours of your time for all of the changes or the cash to have it done), and you come out way ahead for only $200 more than last years sj. Easy choice IMO.
