I thought they stopped making these things (standups) when sit downs came to market.

they could be right last year of 2 stroke engines i heard epa is going statewide in 09 like ca and ny i belive so, i bought out of state and reg out of state. 4$ az rules i hope its the last year my ski would be worth some cash. they would become rare or at least you could buy a 4 stoke hull it might be a bit bigger. .02

EPA or not I can't see them producing that engine for only that one low-volume ski for very much longer.
Everybody even thinking about buying new please do - so there will be more used ones around for us poor guys in years to come.

98-2008 hulls will be worth some cash Blowsions got some work to do. i dont think the tubies will fit an 08..

maybe they changed the body for the 08 to make it the one to have and made alot of them, like 3 times what they sold in 07 to have extra on hand to dealers to make some cash.
4 stoke superjet i dno whats kawi sxr doing in 09. is this the last year of 08sxr also. "who wants one anyway"

Soon you will be hearing 4 stroke swap and people putting in less expensive 701 engine in their 2010 hulls as long as they arnt made like monster hs s4
and have the price to boot

they still make 701s for couches that are sold in other countries so i doubt thats the problem

I spoke to a Yamaha dealer yesterday. He said 2008 was not the last year for the Superjet. The emission laws are an average based on number of units sold. The sales of "dirty" skis like the Superjet are so small compared to the sales of uber "clean" 4 stroke skis that Yamaha is allowed to continue selling the Superjet in most of the US.

It is the last year for the GP1300R and Yamaha is not shy about telling people that.
