2009 Daytona Vendors please read.

As you all know the Freeride has enjoyed immense growth and popularity over the years. The Daytona Freeride has acheived international status due to the support of all of you riders and vendors. Unfortunatley as we grow so does our responsibility to the beach and the Beach Patrol. We need to keep all vendors within a certain designated zone. With that said I encourage all vendors to cantact me to reserve your space and discuss fees and location.

Make sure you reserve a spot behind the hotel before they are all gone.... There will be no setting up on the beach w/ banners, product or displays this year due to conflicts of interest w/ the Beach Patrol. Actually that has always been the law, but people got away w/ a little last year..... We have to be on top of that this year...

i might make a couple enemies but...
a vendor that sets up a booth in a non designated area w/o paying some cheese for exhibit space is pretty poor taste.. not sure if it happens, but if it does, they need to pony up. $$$

I can only guess, but I am sure your rates a reasonable.

I think it's more an issue that they aren't supposed to do it on the beach at all without a special permit of some sort regardless of it being during the Freeride, so if they want to set up then they need to be off the beach which means part of the vendor area which means they need to be in touch with Nick.

yeah... the party is not on the beach technically, it's at the hotel. The beach is completely off limits for vending or any type of promotion. The problem really comes down to the beach vendors that work the beach all year. (ice cream, soda, 4 wheelers ect..) these people pay high dollar to sell and make a living on the beach. It's a huge conflict for the beach patrol to let anyone setup and vend w/o going through the system. People are in line to take over those spots and if Beach Patrol lets us do it for free the vendors would come down on us and it could get really ugly...

Atomic has some valid points too... piggy backing on this ride will not be permitted. If you want to promote and sell product, unveil and show new hulls skis, you will need to register w/ me and donate to the charity. I will not tolerate company's using this ride to benefit themselves w/o giving back.... This has not been a big problem in the past, but just wanted to be clear. Thanks - Nick

also i i think it is important for EVERYONE in attendace to remember no matter who you are in the jetski world in the eyes of the beach patrol we are all the same.you MUST check in with them and get a sticker BEFORE you get in the water

i liked the wave daze wrist band and ski band... dont know if thats an option for daytona.... no biggie its just a sticker.... but some people might not like them

we have to use the sticker... just apply a piece of clear shipping tape in the area that you want the sticker, then put sticker over on top of the clear tape. When you are done just pull off the clear tape and you are golden.
