I most likely will be out for this one unless by a miracle my new setup is done and at my door before then... :-( ... most likely I'll be back in operation 1st week in may plus or minus...

for directions just check out the freestylefest event. its held at the hothole and you can get directions there.

Heres a reminder so no one gets lost ! Hothole in Monroe, Michigan
Take 75 to the Laplaisance Rd. exit (#11). From there go straight across Laplaisance Rd. onto Waters Edge Dr. Follow that back to the parking lot and that is where we all put the skis in. From there just ride out of the no wake zone into Lake Erie and stay far far far away from the edge because of real thick seaweed, and then go straight into the Hothole. (DO NOT cut the corner, you will bottom out!!!) You can't miss the tall powerplant tower.

If I followed those directions I wouldn't know which way to turn. For the record: go east off of I-75 and turn left onto Waters edge, which takes you into the DNR boat launch. Turn left outside the inlet to the HotHole. Watch out for the sadbar and killer weeds.
LOL, I'd look at the map in the FreestyleFest threads.

LOL, not a spelling mistake. That spot has led to many sad days and empty pockets.
Here's the map from a past FSF

Yeah, it does get pretty shallow over there. This early in the season, i have never really had a problem with weeds. In a few months though and definately going into FSF, the weeds do get pretty bad as they do pretty much throughout the Detroit River. The floating patches are the worst because you never know where exactly they will be.

"What time does everyong want to meet there???? and does anyone have an idea of how warm the water is??"

I'm gonna grab some food before I hit Erie. I will be at Bob Evans at 10:00 if anybody wants to meet. (exit 15 right off of I-75). I'll be on the water between 11:00 and 12:00.

The Hot Hole water will probably be 80 degrees. Warm enough that even if the air is cold the water is gonna feel like a warm bathtub.

See Everybody on the 25th
