Looking at picking up a 2010 or 2011 SuperJet in the next week. Looking to get into freestyle and then wave riding later. Where I will be riding is flat early in the day and then choppy as the seabreeze sets in. What mods should I get on this thing asap. I don't want want to be the slow guy and want to make sure I have enough power and punch.

Thoughts? Sorry if this has been asked before. I didn't see a listing on the new ones.

The stock impeller is actually pretty good on 08-up skis plus a lot of guys prefer stock plates for freestyle. Get the stuff below first.
1. Definitely b-pipe and ADA head.
2. Toploader intake grate.
3. Modify your steering to get more throw, someone makes a turn plate specifically for the 08-up skis. I have not heard much feedback on it though.
4. MSD Enhancer.

We can spend a lot more, but start with that.

Thanks guys, I was seeing some posts saying the 08 and up isn't really as good for freeriding. What are your thoughts on that? The problem I have in the northeast is the skis aren't in great supply up here, well not ones that have been maintained.

Thanks again

Yeah I took a look at Frosty's build page. Very nice build! While I am adventurous, I think I will hold off on something that extreme (for now). Based on the feedback here, as well as, on other posts, I think I am going to find a bone stock 08 that is has been used little and maintained rather than go and buy a new 2011. From what I have read I should add the following. Let me know if you think I am missing anything important. I'm 220 so it needs to be able to get out of its way and get some good air off the nice chop and large boats we have here...

bilge, footholds, msd enhancer, bpipe, prop, and you could use some steering mods. 0 degree bars, and cut down a stock pole.

Thoughts.

Just picked up a 2010 Superjet a few months ago. Im going with footholds, blowsion pole spring, xmetal -3.5" turn plate, 0 degree bars, ODI grips, new cable for better throw (you can swap in a 96-07 superjet cable or find someone who makes a new cable. i got mine from shmity1 here on the x), pole limiting rope, rule500 bilge. Thats what i got so far. Next is going to be intake grate, maybe d-cut the stock ride plate, Factory B Pipe, Hooker impeller,............

Nice, is that a new ski or did you pick up a used one. Anyone have any good recommendations for sites or places to find a 08 and up? Living in CT and it is like finding a needle in a hay stack.

Thats the problem I had too. Couldn't find any decent used RN Superjets around me for sale. So I just went out and bought a 2010 brand new. Last one at the dealership and they said they weren't ordering any 2011s. Can't get a warranty on 2011s by the way.

Ok. Broke down and bought a left over brand new 2010 SuperJet. Going to pick it up @ the end of next week. Going to start ordering the mods listed above from djraider this week. Any good decal companies you all recommend. Getting rid of the default look asap. Should be fun!! thanks again for all the feedback

im happy with my mod. most say they dont notice a difference in bottom end with the limited and its a pain to fit in the hull because its larger. with proper tuning of the head pipe and a prop you should get good bottom end.

congrats on the ski... if you are buying a new pipe, buy the limited... seems more people want the limited and it supposedly has more bottom end. I don't have a problem fitting it in my ski.

if your that worried about a warranty i would double check what you can and can not do. you might have already f'ed that up. i know the b pipe will...

Thanks for the heads up on the warranty. I assume at this point I will be pretty much on my own though considering I want this my 'way' . As a noob what are the thoughts about installing this pipe? Save it for the pros or is the install and tuning manageable? Also, anyone recommend any decal makers that are good. I have seen several out there however, wasn't sure which ones were good. I plan on taking off the yamaha set asap.
