2010 stock intake/ ride plate

I know this has been asked over and over. But let's try it a different way. Just picked up the 2010 Superjet and I'm blown away how good it handles. Bon't plan on doing any engine work. It's completely stock and reliable. I'm 6'3", 200lbs. Love catching air behind wake surf boats. My friend rides a 800 sxr and we both can rail turn hard. Complete recreational riding. Would you change the ride plate and/ or intake grate? Money not an issue.

Also what is the stock intake grate (pics please)? Maybe the past owner put a new one on.

Absolutely add an intake grate, intake grates help with turning pump loading, cavitation speed and grip to the water, in chop, you'll stay hooked up in the water significantly more

Ride plates help with grip to the water and longer ride plates helps with porpising when on the gas hard by keeping the back end from sinking down there are also d cut ride plates that help with grip and shortened ride plates will help with getting the back end down easier when jumping wakes/ doing tricks

Maybe I should have clarified. I know what they do but having a hard time wanting to change anything after coming from a highly modded 750 sxi. Realize how much of a pos it was now that I have a Superjet. Is my intake grate stock? How much better will it get?

Yes that is an aftermarket intake grate, that will be perfectly good stock, its actually a nice intake grate for low end

Thanks for the input. Guessing the reason I've been so surprised with the handling is it already has an intake grate.

Anyone ever run JC Racing midsponsors on a new SuperJet? I have some that can be pulled off my 750SXI. They're universal.
