Custom/Hybrid 2011 eme q8 sky

This hull was bought from tricky, I got the hull with a 144 mag pump (non set back) and the pump assembled. I have yet to weigh the hull, It will be weighed before build offcially starts. I was told ski was 88lbs with hood. My parts just arrived from a donor ski in Cali, (it's like christmas came early) Lots of parts are powdercoated orange (bronze)in pics as you can see. All of those will go out for new powder coat locally and then the build will begin. Here are some teaser photos.

I just saw the 3 bobs that came in last night.... Lots of AM hulls, but we can always use more.

Keep the pink grips. BTW, Tricky built this ski but it was owned by Lamar a freind of ours. The paint and graphics on this ski are incredible. The 144 pump is a yamaha mag (conversion done by Tricky) A HUGE improvement over the Kawi mag IMO.

sweet ski love the color combo and all the bronze parts. i have a question about the pump conversion, arent all the emes kawi style pump shoe,pump ect? so did he make a yamaha pump shoe fit then just re-drill holes for pump? ive seen a yam mag on another eme just wondering how hard it is.

I am not sure how hard it was, it wasnt done by me. I was told he had to redo the pump show, dont know the details. All bronze parts will be blue soon, really doesnt match too well, bronze and blue.....

I bought a scale today and weighed the q8 and a old sn. SN came in a 330lb RTR. The q8 has pump ( no nozzle), ride plate, intake grate, IM shart, shaft, prop and hood. It weighed in at 132.6 - 3lb for straps..... total was 129.6

I know in the pic it looks like its still on cart, its there in case of strap failure.... It would be a bad day if it fell on the shop floor.....

Here are the pics after powder coat. They came out great and cheaper than i thought.

I was also able to get the handle pole on. It should be heading over to Powerhouse Performance sometime in the next week to finish the build.

Thanks i got a great deal on all the parts, but they were bronze. So compared to just having them sand blasted, i got them powdercoated also.

$125 for all parts, blasted and powder coated. Empire powder coating in lomira, wi. 2-3 week turnaround.

This ski is immaculate! Chads sparing no expense and doing this thing up to perfection! Can't wait to get this to the shop and get it running! Hopefully it'll be on the water shortly

I dropped my ski off early this week at Powerhouse Performance, Zack and the boys got it all put together and it was water tested friday night. Ski runs great, I took it to the lake house today and did some riding. Ski handles good and power is great. Now just need some ride time to start flipping this thing

Total weight on ski was 280. ( no gas in tank)
