It was an AWESOME event! Thanks to ALL who came out to ride, spectate, and help out! Zack and Christian are heading home with severely sprained ankles from Backflips they did, but will hopefully be back to 100% quickly.. I had a lot of fun and so did everyone I talked to that came out to watch! Now onto the countdown to Surf Slam-- 32 days!!

Those of you that weren't there to see it, Jake Bright stopped in the middle of the FINAL round to go out and rescue Christian Young, who was in trouble. Christian got separated from his ski after a big flip and coud not get back to his ski. The rescue ski could not get to Christian. Jake noticed, stopped his run and went to to christian and brought him back to hi ski in the middle of the final heat. It was amazing to see and this is why we are brothers in this sport. Competition or not, we take care of each other. Jake did not take the easy way out. He wanted full on competition. He went huge, and earned a well deserved top spot as the 2011 Grayland Open Amature National Champion.
So glad to have met a few new people. This was my favorite moment this weekend! We'll see you all at SS!
