2012 Daytona PICS thread

Yeah, it was cold today. At least there wasn't much wind or we'd really be freezing!

I have some video of today that I will be posting in a bit. It's uploading to YouTube and it's taking forever.

I think I was the only one on the beach today who was warm,, but I had so many clothes on, I could barely move...had to take some layering off, so that my arms were not too heavy to hold the camera. :silly:

Haven't loaded mine yet, for just getting home, but the Cleveland Crew and I were looking at them over dinner, and there are some awesome ones in the mix, so I'm excited.

Tzane just picked up a spare trailer of mine, so if I can't make myself show tomorrow, someone get pics of him.

ah well, spoke too soon. upon closer inspection I learn there was dirt upon the lens; must now finally learn photoshop, but I guess that is a good thing, will simply take longer than usual, lol.

Had to go ahead and post my fav sequence of the day though, even if out of sequence; he gets a ten for form and landing!

Daytona Freeride videos 01/14/2012

These are my first videos that I've taken and edited with my new GoPro HD Hero2. I used Windows Live Movie Maker for the first time to edit them. Go easy on me. I don't know why it has that silly black border around the videos (My apologies!). The quality is still good though. Be sure to select HD quality for best results. Some are in 720p, others in 1080p. I had to tinker with my new toy.


If you're in any of the videos, please reply and say which one. Please also post the time index and say hello!

Most of the videos are pretty average. Not a lot of excitement. (The race is kinda cool though). If you weren't there, it'll give you something to look at. If you were there, perhaps it will give you a different perspective of something you've already seen.

(If you were there, you may have seen me. I was the guy walking around with a GoPro stuck to his forehead, and wearing a backpack. Lol!)

Random footage: (In this video WHO owns the yellow ski at the beginning? Was that DUAL EXHAUST that I saw?? It looked like it had rear exhaust and front-left exhaust port.)

seems like a good way to learn a new camera. that was mr bolte putting in around 10:00 in your third video; he and a few others were catching a decent break out there around the end of the day.

psst, do not feel badly for him; he did it on purpose, he is a very good rider (and that crew is a lot of fun, lol). Here is another one of him. I actually have an "epic" one, but it is magazine worthy, so you can not see it, yet...have to hold out on those.

I want to get there SO bad. It looks like such an amazing time with everything going on and all the cool people. I thought Charlie made it this year? If I strike it rich this year I'll be there for the next ride!

It’s always nice to see everyone at one place, even if you don’t get to see everyone you want, simply for so very many ones being at one place, but it’s always fun regardless. I think that made sense. I have a feeling both you and Charlie will make it next year, and that I will see you out West before then.
