Custom/Hybrid 2012 "Green" Brawler Gen 2 Build

2012 "Green" Brawler Gen 2 Build

Did not have time to do a build thread for this ski, mainly because it was built in a week. However pictures were taken throughout the whole build. The ski went together very well with no problems or need for custom parts. All inserts were in the ski from Rage Composites and everything bolted in with no problems. The ski had a Ported 62t/62t 701 from Patch Motors. This was a bored motor to make the Daytona Free Ride.
The motor that will be put into the ski for the 2013 season I will talk about below.

-Dual 38's
-ADA Head
-B-Pipe

-Full width ride plate, both surf length and flat water

-ATP scupper
-Worx scoop grate
-1/2" coolant lines
-Trim tube
-Reinforced nose

Pump:

-Yamaha 144 pump
-2008 OEM Prop
-Protec trim system
-Cold Fusion couplers

Handling/Steering:

-RRP Pole
-Blowsion pole pad
-RRP steering
-RRP riser bars
-RRP bar extensions

Pump bolted in with no shims. By far the best aligned pump tunnel we have seen.

RRP pole installed. RRP bracket works, ears for hood hooks just need to be cut off.

Tray sanded and taped off ready for glue.

Full length ride plate. Can be cut to the length of your choice. This is before we cut it shorter.

More pictures from the Daytona Free Ride.

Overall the ski went together flawlessly with no problems. The hull took a beating in the Daytona surf and held up well. At flat water friday we all rode it, and one rider was trying flat water backflips and was coming very close. The ski is perfect for surf and with a bigger motor would be great flat water boat. The Rage Composites guys are awesome to deal with and will build the hull any way you like. We were a pain in the a$$ but they put up with us and built an awesome hull. This ski is my younger brothers who is progressing quickly in this sport. We will be at the Team Extreme Free Ride so feel free to stop by and try it out!

I have been wondering where these pictures were. Great job on a quick build . The pics answered a question or two that I had. , but I do have one for you. It looks like you used stock ebox brackets did those require any thing special or just drill holes? Do you happen to have a pic of the inside of that area?

I got to ride this ski twice at flat water Friday (thanks again skyler) and really enjoyed it. Rides very smooth and the quality was very impressive. I was almost very shocked to hear how easy it was to install everything and how quick it went together . I didn't want to ride it in the surf but I know this ski was doing a few back flips in the surf! I really would like to test this ski with some power to see what it can do on flat. I'm very close to get a a/m hull and will be buying the brawler or micro.

Here is one that was sent to me since I couldn't be in Daytona this year to see it.

Chad, for the ebox mounts we mounted the stock superjet mounts to the ebox. Then made a template using card board or tyvek for mounting location. Marked left and right, top and bottom of the ebox on the template. Then place it on the outside of the fire wall, keeping it centered and high as possible above the midshaft, leaving room for the plug wires on the top of the box. If you did this prior to turfing and used 1/4" pad the bolts would not show. Then drill the four holes. I will get you pictures this week.
