Well, SpaceCowboy had a death in the family, so he will not be making it out this weekend. My fiance and I will be heading up Friday morning. Should arrive early afternoon. Is anyone bringing a decent set of tools, or should I plan to pack up a travel kit?

So I drilled a hole vacuumed out the water for about 30 minutes with the shop vac. It was alot. Grinded it down and glass it up from the outside. Hopefully it will make it through torch then time for a De-foam to finish the season.

Damn, should i pack the epoxy and a few yards of glass too!??

Let's hope not. There is a hardware store right across the street from the launch. They probably have the 3m crap in case.

Ill throw some in the tool box just to be safe.

I had to rattle can some black on both side so it wouldnt look so bad. Like i said if it makes it through the week then I ll remove all the wet foam and fix it from the inside

Went to take my ski out for a quick rip before hauling it up north. It started taking on water, turns out my waterbox wore some big ass holes in the hull. SEM epoxy + gorilla tape + some old credit cards, it should hold for the weekend...

See you guys tomorrow!

Jordan, thanks again for putting on the event. I had a great time (minus the ticket) and met some great people. Still cant believe Malone came up to hangout.. Deffinatly a freeride ill always remember.

Had a blast this weekend!! So glad I decided to come even tho the ski isn’t up to par. I would like to thank everyone that helped with lifting all the skis in and out of the water and everything else. I gained a lot of knowledge this weekend just from talking to people. Have to thank Darkwater for bring all his parts and helping me out with a couple of jets!! Also JJC568 for organizing everything and getting the t-shirts made!

I know this was my first year but I have a couple suggestions for next year..

We organize a group picture and line up all the skis and take a massive group picture!! I think that would be something pretty sweet to have!!

The only other thing would be for all the people that stay at the camp ground instead of people grouping up and sharing a site we spread out since they charge by the person not by they site. This way we can take up a much larger section of the campground and do not have to worry about being to close to families as the night festivities take place.

It was truly an epic weekend for sure. Malone and I had a killer riding session on Sunday evening about 2 hours before sunset with lots of great photos and videos that were taken from this ride. We hope to have some of them posted up on the pic thread soon. So stay tuned...

A special thanks to the following people:

Jordon for setting up this amazing event, t-shirts, and working with the local authorities to ensure we didn't get into too much trouble for all the laws we were breaking.

Mike W. who I convinced to come up the night before and he drove up from Chicago to only ride on Saturday and show us what a big guy on a little ski can do with lots of skill.

Eric Malone for making the 11 hour drive up here to hangout with some of us MI riders and helping me out so much with my riding. My riding level has improved dramatically just from riding with him for a few hours. It is amazing to witness the passion and intensity he rides with, it is truly inspiring.

Most of all I would like to thank all the riders that came out and came together to make this ride such a success. I am looking forward to an even bigger and better Torch Lake Freeride in 2013!!!

Erin and I had a blast up there, that lake is just amazing! I can't wait to see the video / pics!

Thank you Jordon for getting this setup, and for the loaner tools when my ski decided to blow a cooling line!

Also thanks to Joe for the replacement fuel line and some hardware, I felt like I was chasing issues half the ride!

Thanks everyone for showing up and keeping the ride safe.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys. I had a blast!

Sammy thanks for getting Mike and Malone up here. It was great watching both of them ride, and hanging out with them. The EME hulls certainly put on a great show (including you).

Special thanks to Eric for coming up and taking the ride to the next level!

I have already called the DNR and both county sheriffs and thanked them. (trying to stay on their good side for next year)

Keep the comments and suggestions coming, so we can do it better next year....

I just uploded a few photos as well
