2013 carbon hurricane build

I spose its time to start a build thread, seems how I never finished my last thread hopefully I can this one. I should start with saying this is my first aftermarket hull to even set my
Eyes on, so this will be a huge jump for me.

2013 carbon hurricane c2 from @holdemhigh702
Ski just as described, can't wait to ride it.
Power plant I'm going with a 828 stroker from hpe. Matt at hpe has been a great builder, always answers my stupid questions promptly and politely.
Pfp pipe with power box
Msd enhancer and @speedysprocket lightened Flywheel.
Recieved my 144 mag pump with thrust trim from @air blair also just as described, and looking forward to finally feeling mag pump hookup.
Next on my list is the xscream comp pole, purchased from @Proformance1 Very happy with this purchase also. But wow my back is going to hurt. I'm also throwing on the thrust innovations steering plate and throttle lever. Both look like a piece of art in pictures so I'm anxious to lay my hands on them. Well I think I'll end this ramble for now, hoping to get the pump placed and pole in place. Any suggestions are more than welcome!

My suggestion...add pics.

Once u go AM ski SJ's feel like ur on a old skool longboard surfboard, even with big power in them. I'd take a AM ski with a stock engine over a straight SJ with a 1L+ engine.

Good luck with build and I think u got a jam-up hull that will go as far as u let it take u.

After helicoilong all four pump mount holes I finally got that beauty mounted and lined up. Now I'm just waiting on my massive parts order from my local dealer Korandamotorsports.com

So your the douche that got this hull a few hours before i was going to come get it hahahah. JK man glad your happy with it I wouldn't have found my hull if it wasn't for you. Thats a great looking hull and subscribing to your build. I loved how that hull rode at havasu. Piece of art too!

Thanks for the kind words guys.
Made a lil progress over the weekend. Got the pump, trim, steering up to the plate completely installed. Just waiting on my riser bars in the mail. I have to say with the combination of the thrust steering, thrust trim, and blowsions heavy duty steering cable this steering is silky smooth. And the steering plate is so se*y my wife is jealous. Haha. It's amazing how much time every thing takes. Or maybe it's the kids yelling for dad. Idk. Anyways here are some updated pics. Forgot to snap pictures before I quit for the day, but I'll have to do so when I get home.

Had made some progress over the weekend. Unfortunately my 828 hpe stage 3 won't be here in time for my bachelor party so I'm going to run a dirty stock 760 until my motor comes in. Should give me a lil time to get used to this drastic change in hulls. Here's a few pictures for now. It's not done, I have a lot of tidying up to do.

nothing wrong with that, i rode a 760 with PFP and TL two years ago, and that thing flew! (well in my square nose 650 books anyways) :D

I feel I should "complete" this build thread. I cleaned everything up and fired her up. My jetting was wwwaaaayyyy off but after some tool on around it is still a screamer with this motor. I can definitely tell the power band is way to late for what I want. But it's still fun and getting me used to the hurricane ride. I can really feel the weight difference when riding it, makes even this motor feel like a beast. All in all I really like the way the hurricane rides. I'm only 160lbs, but I don't have any problems getting it plained out and riding decent distances. I'm pretty anxious for the 828 5 mil stroker from hpe!hopefully ill remember to snap some current pictures when I go outside.

I believe bottom half from the rear to the tip of the nose is 6 ft. I love the way it rides. It noses up when I pull
The trim, but rides flat when I want it to. I just recently got my 828 from hpe installed and running. I'm tuning now and can already tell I'm going to be very happy with this motor in my ski. I'm looking forward to getting everything dialed in. Here are some almost finished pictures. I recently decided to swap the xscream pole for a black/black lightweight billet rrp pole with rrp bracket. They look nice in the boxes, hopefully I like them even more on the ski.
I also found a pair of dasa 48mm with dasa intake for it. I never really got the 44s dialed in so i can't really say what kind of power difference l see, but I'm hoping it's worth the money.

Is there a big difference in weight between the poles?

The rrp pole looks great on the ski. I was honestly a little worried I wouldn't like the looks, but it looks great. It's super easy to adjust which is making getting used to the ride much easier to slowly go shorter. I have to say I love my rrp pole, as much as I feel it's overpriced.image.jpg
