Happy for you guys! Motor before pump also. Unported 701 will have hard time with a setback 148, but BB with stock pump and hooker prop works well. BB with setback 148 = sweet.

I agree with Chris with the hooker on a limited to ported, I disagree with using a hooker on a BB motor, I personally tried all 3 hookers on my XM 771 and found the best hitting impeller to be a 13/17 Concord (I believe it was a concord) but who ever builds your motor should know best what impeller to run, I would also reccomend you port your motor and bore your pipe, huge gains can be made and porting your cylinders and is about a good night or twos work but totally totally worth it, Put up a WTB thread for a home porting kit, somebody should have one kicking around

yeah, i think we are going to do all the porting/boring when we get the new motor.(probably mid-season, after WF) and a guy we ride with (aquaholic) does port work i think, so we will probably talk to him about it. for now we are just waiting for our hull anxiously!

Man im always hearing great things about ski clinic and DK-JR, that kid rocks, i love his vids. btw i was texting you about your red and white sn hull you sold, i was going to buy it and rocker it and chop it super short maybe for a backflippable hull haha ;) , but it sold quick. I just bought a badass 725 group K motor SN with a ton in it, i stole this ski practically haha. Going to use it as a donor for a gen 2 or 3, not sure which yet.

haha no kidding man! it sold within 3 days of posting it! thats though sick man! congrats! i am so stoked for my gen 3! but just so you know they've discontinued the gen 2 now so youd have to get a used hull (i think theres a few up for grabs right now...). but the gen 3 fiberglass is the same price as the gen 2 fiberglass, and the gen 3 is alot more stable IMO so id defiantly go that rout. but id recommend the ski clinic for sure. they are great!

Just an update on the ski, Derrick sent me some pics and the decks are out of the moulds and look great! (Not posting pics because I think we have all seen the mass amounts of vacuum bagging and plain deck pics haha) the decks look beautiful, top notch work! Assembly/plumbing is starting and hopefully the hull will be under my wrench in a couple weeks! (Fingers crossed) (;

I am defiantly a lucky Kid! love how i can build with, ride with, and learn from my dad! :) haha and i cant wait to have the hull on the water so you can both see it! (and of course take it for a rip!) new billet goodies coming your way! (;

Just got an ATP torrent adjustable intake grate! And recommendations on how to set it up on a GEN 3? How far do the fins hang below the hull? How far forward? And pics of one on a gen 3 or a worx 228 (for reference)? Thanks guys!
