Surfriding 2013 Rickter FR-2 Evo 1 Dasa, Fast Elements, Thrust, Cold Fusion Build

When installing the pole how far do the breather tubes go into the lower bracket? Pics greatly appreciated

I can take pics tonight but what I did to ensure that there wouldnt be water coming in anywhere I installed the lower bracket, everything(spring bracket, pole bolt. Then feed the tube from in the hull into the lower bracket and have it sticking out towards the tray and not through the bracket yet. Then put your pole tubes in, on the bracket you will see a little opening that looks like a circle with a line cut out, make sure your tubes go in the bracket and go just below the cut out. Basically so when you look at the back of the bracket all you see is the tube through the little viewhole, then once your tubes are in, you can shine a light down the tube and feed your breather tube inside your bracket until you see it fit firmly against the pole tubes. You basically want it to be like one piece, the breather tube should be an extension of the pole tubes.

Also make sure to get the breather tubes as close to the bottom of your hull as possible. Then in case your ski rolls over in the water, the tubes are above the water line if you get what I am saying.

you can see the holes I am talking about above the breather tubes. Put pole tubes in just below those then snug up the hoses to the tubes, the hose is kinda like a spring so you can push a little extra up into the bracket and the tension will keep it nice and snug to the tubes

Perfect answer. Exactly the way it should be done, if you have a stock waterbox youll have to do some muscling around and bending of the tubes but get them to the bottom of the hull. RRP used to send the tubes with 4 zip ties on them to show how far they went up. For some reason they stopped.

Pat,we went through this last time. I looked at the tank picts on Yamaha parts to make sure as i always get them wrong and they are still wrong. LOL

G
Nick stopped by to give me some temporary vinyl to get me through Daytona, if the real stuff doesnt make it in time. Thanks Sticker Pimp!!

Added some more styrofoam for flotation behind the waterbox. along with some layers of turf to keep it snug. There is more room for styrofoam up front if you wanted to get creative and start with a nice chunk or glue some together.

Plexused in the gas tank stop for the hopeful arrival of the new Cold Fusion tank

The new turf is supposed to be better than the old, but I have been warned already so I returfed the footholds for starters. If its still slippery in Daytona Ill totally returf when its back. Usually doing the top of the footholds helps as adding padding underneath snugs them up nicely.

Nothing much came intoday so I ran out of parts again. I am hopeful that tomorrow will bring a truck full of anodized parts and a bunch of misc parts I need to finish this build.

Vinyl work is almost complete, but skicker pimp Nick is almost dead, so it will have to be finished in Daytona. Get some rest and feel better dude.

Found a great spot to put the tow rope, nice and secure and out of the way for sure

A little last minute work before leaving for Daytona at Zions shop. Added a limiting rope and catch. Some hood allignment and a water run test on the hose. Considering Im the one who invented the tow straps everyone else is making now, I decided to pimp my Rickter with a special one, permanant. LOL Copy that one and try marketing it. Good luck.

All went extremely well. Except for me holding up Andy for a bit. Sorry Andy. Thanks for waiting for me.

I knew it would be close to getting done when parts werent coming in until Friday, but luckilly all went well. I still have some odi trim rings to change out in daytona as those are still red, but other than that and the final vinyl application I'm done. Hopefully i will have a chance to run her on the water before actually hitting the surf Wed.
