Fun day today in the surf. Small waves but it rolls super fast. Going to have to slow them down a bit. First one was close to 1 1/2. Hull is pretty responsive. Ill work out a few more things in the am with adjustments etc. Water box seems more powerful. More to follow.

WOW, is all i can say about the Daytona trip. Crazy everything from flat to surf to after partys. The EVO preformed as expected and then some. If you are looking for the prefect all around surf ski this IS it. Only issue I had with it was that it rolls to easy and a 10mm can be a bit much for the big surf if you grab on too hard :) First BR out of the box was a 1 1/2 roll, LOL Push it into a wave and the nose pops right back up. I bought this ski for insane quality fit and finish and the nose rocker. I got just that. The new Water box from H20 Designs rips. Added power and a nice clean sound. Cant ask for more than that. Time to finish the vinyl work and start the next build.

That may have been my super fast rolls on Thursday afternoon. Not discrediting Brian but I was riding it and everyone tells me my rolls are tight. I wish know how to open them up.
Brian thanks for letting me ride her some. I liked it a lot. Wish you weren't so fast to rinse on Sat. Would have liked to try the longer pole.

Witnessed some of those insanely quick spinning rolls. Would like to come ride it tomorrow dude

Just wanted to add a Thanks to Thrust, Fast Elements, and Cold Fusion for getting me my parts in the nick of time to make Daytona. I could not have experienced how good this is without your help!

Sold my used motor that I just put in this one so its time for a fresh 10MM DASA. I still think this is too much for real surf but around here where we dont get 10' faces every day its a blast. This one will have a few custom things done to it, but I cant go into that here. :) Fun power! Hopefully ill have this one built and running before the other motor is picked up. It will really be a fresh FR2 build now as the motor is even squeaky clean and new. Nothing but the finest new and OEM parts on my builds. Mmmm.. Crank Works 10MM billet stroker crank, sparkly.

I know, wish I had a smaller motor left for this ski, I will build this one and put it in for flat water and see what turns up for a FW hull before spring. It is awesome in a hull like this for flat though.

this is the first time i've really checked this thread out, idk why the thread name just didnt register. but man, theres guys that get huge air on 701's and light hulls. Im not sure if you have balls, but if you do theres gonna be huge air. HUGE.

Ive been riding a 10mm 971 in the flat and great lake surf for about a year. Its fun and somewhat unmanagable at times. Just takes a little getting used to. Its too big if tuned properly for overhaed surf. I do a very conservative tune so it lasts. On my next flat water only ski it will be a different story. :) If you dont land correctly in the big stuff and you grab to much throttle it can get away from you. LOL

A little more progress last night bottom end is all buttoned up and troqued with proper sealing thread lock so the extra power doenst shake the bolts loose like some.
