Surfriding 2013 Rickter FR-2 Evo 1 Dasa, Fast Elements, Thrust, Cold Fusion Build

Motors all together pressure tested. This Dasa went together very nicely. Very nice work Kyle! Did a few little tweaks to this motor to add a bit more to it. Well see how it works out compared to the last one. Coated the pistons, like normal, added some port matching and gasket matching, and a little more timing.

Shimmed up the motor yesterday, when quicker than I expected. Normally it takes me 2-4 hrs to shim one properly. This one is square and true with the new motor mounts so it was only about 2 1/2 hrs :)

Decided to chrome powder coat the factory pipe for a little added bling. Well see how that holds up, If it does, ill do a few more items on the next build. Have access to a few colors now. Its killer having powder coat and now anodizing where i know the people and can have it done quickly. Huge difference in doing the quality of builds that I like.

Now its time to go flay with the Full Specs, and see if I cant get a little more there as well. Hope to be running this week, then off to pick up a friend with a Micro, and go brake this motor in where its warmer. Cold water and new motors do not go well, IMO

Did some zip tie mounts in this one. Plexus is awesome for making everything tight for surf riding. Hoping to get down to Wavedaze early and tune the new motor before hitting the surf. Amped to try out the new power. Have a few post Wavedaze items to try afterwards as well. Hopefully it will be a great riding season.

Did you polish the cyl or it is just as it come from Dasa?

I polished it up a bit but Kyle did some nice work on this head.

Changed the prop last night as this new motor hits quite a bit harder than the last one. Spinning off the bottom every time now. Decided to go to a 14/19 cut back C75 this time. May toss in a 148 set back mag for fun after this to see how much it adds, may be too much for some surf conditions, but would make for a great all around ski.
