Well I do flatwater and I'm broke.....not sure about ugly tho...... And that's a pretty broad statement to make about the flatwater community....most of us sacrifice many other things to have top of the line boats

Not everyone has a top of the line flat water boat that rides flat water. I sure don't. We all can't live at the beach so we ride what we have and enjoy it. Isn't that what it's all about anyway?

Right on dude. I agree with the above. Ride style has a lot to do with location.

However this event is called the Daytona motoSURF freeride

I think flat water takes away a lot of riders from the surf who are fun to watch and/or ride with. For some reason at every freeride I've been to the Friday surf is usually cleaner than Saturday too.

Do you guys really think I care if people ride flat water or surf? Why in the world would I take time out of my busy schedule to stress over something so ridiculously insignificant. Im sure some on here know me and can back me up on this. Im a pretty easy going person, but with a side of sarcasm. I don't care much about anything people do. I just ride to have fun. I even ride flatwater from time to time (if the surf is flat ) Just do what you want, and stop caring what other people think. In the end, its just a jet ski, and 90% of the people in the world have no clue what it is.

2014 we had flat water surf... I was doing hood tricks for something to do! Have a stocker RN with footwells for the surf and a may have my Freak for flat. I am always torn on where to be but I get flat water all year and only surf once a year. Cant bring myself to put the freak in the salt. Hoping for BIG surf!

This year can we please stick to friday for flat water friday? Rather than flat water confusion day? I guess it boils down to if you want to demo a specific hull at Diaz, get with that manufacturer and find out what day they will be there. I'd like to hang out at the freeride saturday and Sunday and demo skis on Friday if possible, but I'll do what it takes to get someone the demo ride they are asking for.

Flat water friday is perfect for the non-surf hulls...alot of those skis don't even hit salt water. Then they can wax em up and put em on display soo all us surf riders can droul on em
