Please reference first post as i updated it today. The Freeride/Freestyle competition is officially cancelled. Thsi was due to many factors, as some of you already know, there is much going on here locally and TXJ wanted to offer advanced notice rather than having to cancel last minute. Its unfortunate for all involved as this event was gaining momentum locally as well as internationally. When Red Bull starts asking about radio and TV you know your onto something. Lets all take what we learned and roll it into the next greater event. Its now your turn to make this sport better. Starting NOW!

Even if we don't call it a "free ride" just to get a bunch of people together would be sweet... There's a really nice clean lake in wv near Morgantown that's great too. Tygart lake.

Isn't the cwa event the same weekend ? Watch this will be the first time they DON'T schedule it the same weekend. I'm all for a Canada trip.

Wow this is so sad. Last year was my first year ever introduced to the sport of stand ups and I attended the event and it was unreal. Was so excited to see some after market hulls in the flesh again. Been practicing all summer on my super jet just for this weekend. I hope there is still a ride somewhere we can all get together. I told everyone I'm free all summer except for this weekend. Where ever everyone ends up deciding to go I'm down.

we should still ride as a large group. i missed last years and this is the closest ride to me. just cause xscream is out, doesnt me a weekend ride event cant be put together. theres tons of spots up here to ride with beaches to launch at.

i'm in for an old school freeride somewhere between Buffalo and Syracuse for a late summer weekend. Old school... just a bunch of riders hanging out, ridin, drinking beers (I'll tent camp for sure).

I am pretty sure that was NY States ONLY private beach on Lake Erie....that is how they pulled it off...
