Anyone have any input on this? I'm going to start working the parks dept. to see what they will work out for us. Would be great exposure if we could figure out a way to still have the ride bit not get mixed in with the Huckfest mess.

Dont know if it has already been said but it also is the weekend before the baja 1000 so even all the desert guys dont like the date and big names like BJ Baldwin and similar people wont be there to help promote. Hopefully we can get them to change the date.

I got a lot of info about it this weekend, the "twins" (brothers who run the huck fest) competly bought out the beach for the whole weekend the parks department has no say so they work for huck fest that weekend ... The twins are willing to work with us after I talked to them although, talking to a few big names athletes this past weekend their thinking about doing the freeride in early November stay so let's just tuned and play this by ear

Hey Guys had some discussions about this at the freeride. Im catching up on things at work but im going to look into the first or second weekend in November to host the freeride. With all of the commotion of Huck Fest we simply will not be able to have the relaxed and open beach space we need and take up with our freeride and not expect to have any issues.

Within this week I will do some research and then put up a pole for us to get some feedback regarding which weekend in november would work best. This does break the tradition of getting friends from world finals to the event but im usually borrowing money for that event and absolutely burnt out when it comes time for pismo going through world finals. This may actually get some more participation who knows.. Stay tuned, we will figure this out to have a great freeride.

Sounds good Mark, thanks. I know I wasn't able to make it to the last Oct. freeride because of Finals and how busy I was. Something in Nov. would be awesome.
