Ok so even though this ski won't be finished till summer, I thought I would go ahead and start the build thread.
After searching and researching around I decided on the Phantom Hull from California Freestyle and @sinisterjosh209
so I wrote josh on the x and he wrote me back right away with his cell phone number and said to give him a call, so I did. We discussed the different lay up's and different options, I decided to go with the fiberglass layup with a little extra reinforcement in the problem areas for flatwater.
Next came color choice..... Well for me I love the vibrant colors of the 80s the neons and fluorescents so I settled on Electric lime gell coat.image.jpeg Then I dicided to go with a 155 pump shoe even though I won't be running a big motor now,I hope to at some point.
So I sent my deposit.... Josh is a great guy to deal with, and he sent me pics of how the hull was coming alongimage.jpeg

Oh footholds your so funimage.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpegimage.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpegAnd that's where I'm at today. I'll try to keep the pics updated from now on but it's gonna be slow due to still needing lots of little and a few big parts

My phantom went together super smooth and has taken a season worth of everyone beating on it hard without an issue.
I'm sure if I could afford all the parts I need this would of been a quick build but I think it's probably gonna turn out better now that I'm not in a rush.

Do it right the first time and then you don't have to worry. I pulled a ski apart to put my phantom together.

I was gonna use my rn as a doner but the more I thought about it, I just got that one dialed in so why not have both lol

Once you get used to the phantom you won't want to go back to the rn. I gave up stock hulls long ago and just keep one ski that I can ride in both surf and flat.

Yeah probably but I've got 2 rn super jets and a b1 I keep the extra skis for wife and friends to ride

On top of having the skills to built a super clean and nice riding hull, you can not beat a better person/company to work with. Josh is alsways there to help out with whatever it may be.
