So as most of you probably already know. last may, a year to date I lost and sunk Rage Brawler hull.

Brian and Josh of Rage Composite Works, contacted me at some point when it looked like the ski was not going to be found. They wanted to help me out , so we talked details came to an agreement and next thing was to set a date.

may 1st 2015 was that date. I got my passport ready, enough snacks for the 9 hour cross border trip and set off.

I brought my work cloths because this wasn't a normal hull purchase, this was a get down and dirty and help build your own hull (and a few others) kinda adventure.

I arrived some time in the late afternoon. Still stiff from the 9 hour trip . As I'm stretching out , I hear
OH CANADA blasting from the shop. and the garage doors slowly opening up . Brain is saluting and has a stupid ass grin on his face. It was priceless!. At that point l also new what kind of a weekend this was going to be (a fun one).

after a few laughs, i change and get down to working on the hulls almost right away.

Ive made some of my own parts out of fiberglass before but not to this extent so it was great learning some new things. there was not one process of the build that the guys didn't have me right in there working on. we worked late every night went to restaurants covered in carbon. joked and laughed ,( a lot of it at Canada expense) and built some amazing skis.

here is a pic of my hood we just pulled from the oven 6.8lbs with a liner!

I was there for an extended weekend we got my ski done in good time and told them to keep me working. so they did and I helped build a few more hoods , a bottom deck and some various other things. it was an amazing experience I learned a lot , and made great new friends.

And when my ski is finally on the water I will be able to say I built that ski from nothing but a roll of carbon.

I want to thank both Brain and Josh for their hospitality and kindness.
and everyone else who has pitched in with some parts.
