2015 Fall Carolina Beach Freeride at Freeman Park Discussion Thread!

What will water and air temperature be like? Wet suit weather?

Water and air are fine. I don't think I wore one last fall. But if it's over cast it could be cool. I think I had one just incase.

Stephen is correct there are no need for reservations since it's outside of the dates for the new regulations. The freeride is the same as in the past fall and before. Water temp will probably still be close to 80 degrees. Air temp between 70 and 85.

Out here now for a pregame ride with some of the hurricane racing crew. Subbed the ski hard and sucked in a bunch of water, but managed to clear it out. Waves have been decent 4-5 footers.

Also the camping restrictions are so needed. I didn't get it until today. Looked like a third world fishing village.

The restrictions put in place didn't address the problem they were having. Under age drinking and crazy wild party's are what the police can't manage. Rather then enforce those laws on the books they tried to make it so fewer people could camp over night on the beach. I'm sure the fishing village minded there on.

Not to mention if your not "camping" you don't have to have a camp site you can just stay on the beach all night.

Yeah I'll buy that, they probably thought they could manage the partying with less campers...there were a lot of people there that, um, didn't exactly fit the profile of upstanding citizens. Found myself picking up trash for slobs or dumb unsupervised kids from a family of 12. Some kid even threw a rock at my ski. I was about to go crazy for a second

30 bux per vehicle needs to be clarified to a max of 5 people per vehicle.

That's cool, I was just speaking in general out there. If you have 12 people in your family you shouldn't get a free discount just because there are more of you. In the same vehicle.

Can't complain really I still had an awesome time riding

Josh and I went riding a freedmen park a couple weeks ago with no issue at all during the "in permit" time. Wouldn't say no issue, ran thru all the jugs we bought both days so I guess need more fuel next time
