2015 Spring LSFR - 24th-26th - Port Aransas

Me and Derry are in again this year. 2 stand ups and the Blaster.
My usual RV spot at IBMagee was booked up 6 weeks ago due to the sandcastle deally. Same for the State park.
Staying at Bali near Bob Hall on PR22 Wed-Mon.
Usually we set up between markers 27-29. May consider further down the beach due to the crowds. Maybe BR 2 or Newport, just a thought...
Wherever we set up, I will be there, ready to throw down!
Looking forward to it.

Is anyone else going to be tent camping on the beach? Or do you guys all have trailers and hotels/rentals? Originally I was going to slum it in a tent, but then the girlfriend is complaining so I looked at hotels. Damn sand castle event has everything booked up or really expensive. So we're probably back to the tent idea.

Well our group grew but only 4 can sleep in my trailor, so 3 ppl will be in a tint by my trailer. I tinted it last year before i had a trailer.

I just made an offer on a 4br house to rent fri- monday... has 2 garages also... If I get it, I will be split the costs with a friend of mine coming, and will have 2 br's left to help out... Im hoping $75/nt per br is what I can charge... if anyone wants one....

Did anyone get a roll call going? I guess I should have stepped up. I'm going to try to bring my kids down and tent it. Wifey is out of town that weekend. Will likely be skiiless. I have a square I haven't gotten around to working on, the 300 is in pieces and my brawler hull just sits there. Guess we'll just be observing. :(

quick question for you guys, how does a 2wd truck do on the beach pulling a 14' trailer? My truck is for sale and i rather not drive it, but my other option is a 2wd 1500. think i'll be fine pulling the trailer on the sand, or do i need to drive my 4x4? I really don't want to drive that truck.

Sweet! Last year I drove my 8,800lbs Dodge cummins with my 14' loaded enclosed trailer (4,000lbs) plus 4 guys, so we were at 13,000 lbs, didnt have to use 4x4. Now i own a gmc 2wd 1/2ton (5400lbs) with street tires, I think/hope ill be fine hah. The sand gets pretty packed down.

We plan to hit the road around 4am friday which will put us down there around noon. All 5 of our ski's are in peaces. Mine is nearly done but I have to break in my new motor, so does two of my fellow riders, but there motor's aren't even installed yet .
