Can be very big surf, but it's usually around 4 foot or smaller. I still have a blast!

Last year during spring ride on sunday(I think) the surf report said 12 footers with 300 power, most everyone had already left, but the back set was huge. Only 2 of us went out there and rode the mountain waves. They werent good for barrels or backflips, but still fun to ramp off of.

They had it on a different weekend last year, so i didnt get to see it, but i was told it's pretty cool. So, we set the date for the 24th-26th?

Where do most of you guys stay? Is there a big group that camps on the beach?

I was hoping to find a decent priced rental house close by rd 1, but everything appears to be north of there.

At port-a, half the group gets a hotel in town. There was about 20 that camped on the beach. I have an enclosed trailer and we all just sleep in it. Beach permit is like $15, so its much cheaper than a hotel. There are cold outdoor showers and porta poopers.

windy but normally pretty good weather

Alway windy at the cost. Air and water temp is usually 70-80 that time of year, water is usually warmer then the air. I bring a wetsuit just incase.
