new decals probably lol
Yeah, this. People still aren't going to buy them because you get way more ski if you buy used no matter what they change on them. 8-9k can get you one hell of a superjet.

Yes, but the argument is about whether or not changes are worth making if they can be made. I think changes (if indeed they can be made as the rumors mention) would bring increased sales and would be worth it. Maybe its because my career is based on prototyping but I believe, if done right, R&D is always worth it. There are plenty of smaller players in the game investing in r&d and it seems to be paying off big time. Yamaha has a lot more money to play with. All of this is hypothetical of course since as you mention the EPA seems to have stonewalled them into only making changes to decals.Once again, small #'s are due to EPA regulation, not poor sales or marketing.
“We can build the SuperJet only as long as we leave it ‘as-is’ – it’s an EPA thing,” he growled. “The minute we update it, it won’t be considered ‘old technology’, which gets grandfathered in. Once we mess with it, it’s gotta pass all the emission stuff, and you know it won’t. So we’ve gotta leave it alone.”
“We talked about going 4-stroke. We did. It was a few years back. I put an end to it. The minute we put a 4-stroke in the SuperJet is the minute it stops being a jet ski. Y’know what I mean?”
I won't disagree, I just don't see it happening.

I know of many guys looking to buy new 4 stroke stand ups. I know I would buy 1. It's been 4 years since the sxr stop being sold so racers/ex racers are itching for something new
