2016 Daytona Freeride - ROLL CALL

I normally come thur-sun but this year i cant. I am hoping to come first thing sat morning and leave sat night, check out some skis maybe a test ride on a hull i havent ridden, but i dont expect that as an option. Expecting my first the week before. I have an awesome wife who actually started crying over the due date because "she ruined daytona" and she has been encouraging the sat trip. It all depends on when the baby comes. Early to on-time i think ill come. Any amount of late wont work out.

We are actually hosting a 50/50 game for guessing the due date. Im guessing 1/16.

Uh, She is crying because she is Hormonal!!!!!!!!!!! I have a reminder of this, if you open my pantry door you will see a fist mark where the inside is busted from me punching it. This was the first time she went Prego Crazy on me for no reason. I got frustrated and smacked the door then left for a bit. That is when I learned about the hormones. Dont worry about Daytona. I wanted to come to the 07 Freeride, but it was 3 weeks before our due date. Did not feel safe going off and leaving her at home. Good luck with the baby!

There is no way id chance missing the birth of one of my children for a jet ski ride. Shouldn't even be a option if its close to a due date.

I wouldnt miss the birth. I said i didnt expect to be there. Shes due before daytona. I just said my guess for our game is the daytona date.

Im heading down right before XMAS and riding every weekend up to the preride weekend. Then daily after that! So stoked, starting to get stuff together for the trip this weekend.

I'm spoiled, whiskey always flows when cold winds blow and great times are never a stranger in 'tona!

But cold is a matter of perspective to those that travel. Can't wait to see all yall's again!

How many are planning on making a longer stay in Daytona? We are heading down the weekend before the freeride and staying the entire week. Planning on riding the zone some before the freeride starts

Awesome, I hope more people will be there early this year. The Preride freeride the weekend before is always a good time and often has better surf for some reason.

We hope be in town to ride and to bring any needed parts the weekend before the freeride at the "Freeride PreRide" depending which day has better surf. The weekend before the freeride has grown every year into a event itself. It is a good time to ride and hang out without the hectic pace of the main freeride.

Could not agree more. The real Freeride weekend is an absolute blast!! But for actual RIDING...the PRERide weekend is the best. Light crowd, super laid back, and the weather and surf have been really good past years. If you are even thinking about coming early...DO IT!

Nate. if the hilton doesnt work out the grand seas resort is right next door to the laplaya and is way nicer with comparable rates.

Usually Friday is the "biggest" day, but there are people there all weekend. Some people never even come to the beach unless they are hanging out afterhours.
