2017 Daytona Freeride - Roll Call and Typical BS Smack talking.

I thought you were supposed to register as a non rider also, reduced amount?

I thought if you were a rider but not bringing a ski it was the reduced amount. I don't believe there was a non rider registration.

Hmm - confusing!
We aren't bringing any skies, but if the chance presents itself, we would love to go for a ride.. But we dont want to violate any rules..

(To add to what was mentioned before, in years past) If you are going to ride during the actual event (including a borrowed ski), then YES you will have to register/pay and sign a waiver. There is always someone on the beach taking registrations (and usually a Paypal option online also) If only spectating then NO you don't have to pay anything to watch. (Hopefully this clears everything up for you) (P.S. Its been a little crazy with the hurricane they had so there have been a few changes recently, like as in the host hotel etc...)

It's for insurance reasons.

Based on past events...
All riders have to be registered.
All skis have to registered.
Prices were different for...
--- rider only (1 rider did not bring a ski)
--- ski only (1 rider brought 2 skis)
--- rider and ski

Pricing was intended to give you a discount if you weren't a rider and a ski, so, people like you save about $10.

Sounds like the only thing changing this year is registration is online only and a limited number of riders can register.

As previously mentioned, a friend and I are flying inn to participate in the FR, and since we are flying in from Europe, we unfortunately won’t be bringing any skies. This leads me to the question.

Is there anyone who has a spare ski, which they would consider renting out? I am not looking for an end game ski, just whatever RN/SN ski you have with a 701 or similar setup – as long as it’s reliable. We are not unfamiliar with skies, and would really love to spend some time on the water, if any way possible! If you have a ski that needs a bit of attention or wrenching before its ready, we can arrange for that as well, if you’re in the Daytona area. We will fly in the 5.th, so we have plenty of time in FL before the FR.

For reference, as personal skies we ride a SFS Titan, dasa 1100, and a SFS Circus, XS 1000 with all the add-ons.

Please PM me with inputs :)

Thanks a lot!

Hey, I think I'm going this year! I have a few questions. Straighten me out:

As of now I can book the hotel but not register to ride?

I'd bring two skis and a girlfriend who might ride depending on conditions.

So I'd register two skis and register both of us? If I register her and she decides to sit out am I d1ck that took up a reg spot?

Nah, not a dick. Just register both of you so you both are able to ride.

Does the Daytona freeride have a ski parts raffle like Wavedaze and other rides do? If so, who would I contact to discuss donating parts? Tried Nick on Facebook but didn't get a response...

Yea, they have a pretty large raffle usually. Nick would be the guy to talk to I believe. Just go to his facebook page and post something about how you love Trump....that'll get his attention lol.
