I heard about it a month ago from a reliable source. Suppose to be a complete new design hull too.

Well, this is going to be sweet! Was just talking to someone at the lake about how kaw/yam need to come out with a 4 stroke stand up.

Yeah, it'll probably be bigger and heavier than a SX-R lolol. Of course, dont leave out the 10 lbs. of extra glue on the hull seam.

I am sorry but I dislike everything about four strokes for a standup type machine there's too much water ingestion,and I don't believe you can make the same power for the same money.

Or a 4 mix motor like the sthil trimmers that still use two-stroke gas but have valves like a four stroke then you could run them in any orientation and have them turbocharged.

I hope they do. It a long time coming. All of us bouy guys are dying for something new we can just buy from the dealership instead of buidling. Most of us don't have time to build a 1100sxr but have the cash to go buy something new at the dealership. I know plenty of people willing to throw down the cash. I know I will.

Not to get off topic, but SDC(Sea Doo Concepts) with Kevin Reiterer have a new stand-up called the SDC "Trak" that uses all the Spark engine/driveline and anything other Spark parts that can be used. The end goal is to have a stand up for the masses at the price of $5-6K. Seen one at Body beach awhile back and checked it out. Maybe Seadoo will redeem themselves for the 3-D! lol
Well u know what they say wanna lighten up a Sxr it's easy buy a sj lol . It really is 10 lbs of glue I went there before the hood is like 30+ as well . That trak hull is interesting I think

I hope this is true. Would be best if it was some sort of ultra-efficient two stroke design but it'll probably be a 4-stroke. Either way, it's good to see a reboot for a stand up from Kawasaki.

The SJ is "Grandfathered claused" in with the EPA etc. and they cant change they engine set up. They would have to put in a new design EPA compliant motor. They can change the hull, but not the engine now.
I still say why not a EPA compliant 2 stroke w/ fuel injection in a stand up?!?! Is it the race crowd that wants 4 strokes more than 2 or?? Is it a EPA government thing for 4 strokes? It cant be cheaper to produce 4 strokes... I heard/read there are 2 strokes w/injection systems that run cleaner than 4 smokes!

it will most likely be a race boat but would love to see a 4stroke engine to see were development takes them ! that is were it is all headed anyway!look how far the mx bikes have come in just a short time ! heavy porkers to lite and flickable with massive power!
