Well to discus the Indy roll, as not being a roll - but more of a off axis 360. Then Lee stone didnt do a double roll. but a off axis 720.
Hes rotation was just a vertical as Gomez indy roll :)
I think its fair to call both rolls.

Look at what these chumps could do with a round nose superjet back in 97. You don't see people willing to finish competitions without a hood anymore...

Actually, yes you do :) I think i 2016 i think Hassan "the Assassin" lost the hood of a DVX or XFS and contiunied, correct me if im wrong.

Well, Rolls that we call Rolls are not the same as what Rolls are called on modern hull. These hulls do not ride on the same plain as a SJ does. They ride nose up, So when you attempt a roll it ends up being more of a tail whip or 360. The roll is not spiraling down its axis like an old school superjet will. Its axis is more or less on an imaginary line from say the rear spark plug down to the front bottom edge of the gas tank if that makes sense. I have found with my freak that I cannot roll the same as I could on my SJ. Cannot attack the setup wake the same. So, These new "Rolls" while are not true rolls they are now considered rolls and called rolls. The difference is your body is not rolling to the left or right and going 360 degrees around anymore......... Both were awesome tricks. Personally, Lee's is a more violent trick and Gomer's just flat took more muscle strength and timing to pull off. Shear fact he landed and was able to get feet back in place for a back flip. Hats off to both of them.

Half of you guys got upwards of 30 grand into your play boats. You honestly think these dudes ain't going upwards 0f 50? I have over 35 into my promod sled, and yeah, it wins, but I don't know what it would do "world finals" wise.

Stones little canoe? That motor is near 25k alone, right?

I ride a walmart huffy, and ply my feet in Roo's, with the velcro pocket, sooooo.................

Gomez and other top riders proved themselves on 550's then got sponsored on a SJ and worked up. If you are good enough you wont have to pay the 50k.
Everyone at every level is paying. There's no rider out there getting "sponsored" and getting a free ride like you're under the impression . Unless you're the kid gabe killing it on the rickter without graphics(thx dad/i <3 mom) or gilligan lol, youre heavily invested in trying to win a contest with a $400 first place prize...

It was wicked to see him doing it the morning of the comp.

He asked everyone that morning to keep it off social media.
