It’s because there is another event going on at the same time as the free ride. That mixed with lack of parking as it is they want to have enough room for the other guests also. Multiple hotels are over booked. Bringing 5 skis.

Yeah, the Freeride is always on the same weekend as the football championship and the cheer/dance thing.
I booked at the host hotel this morning. $70 a night online but if you call and try to book they will tell you they are full. You have to tell them you are with the Freeride and they have rooms blocked out for it then they will tell you $100 a night

Every year. Last year I was in the elevator with one of the assistant coaches. He looks at me and says "I haven't smelled this much weed since Vietnam" We both had a good laugh. The beach patrol came over and checked my supermoto the minute I pulled it out of the trailer. They said no plate, it stays in the trailer.

Bumming a beach cart ride from your neighbor is standard freeride fair. Just give em a hand getting their ski in and out.Finished crating and the ski is getting picked up today for Daytona!
