Who exactly is out there that will magically put them in conference title and playoff games over night? Kiffens already back in the power 5 and in the SEC at that. What incentive is there to move laterally?

So many teams chase their tales trying to find the next nick saban which is just an unrealistic pipe dream. (Look at Texas doing the same thing) Most coaches don't even get the chance to see their first recruiting class graduate before they are fired. Then the next guy has to play catch up convincing a bunch of pissed 18 to 21 year olds to buy in to their system.

Winning like Alabama is the exception not the rule and there are arguably just 2 or 3 teams out of 128 even close. Just my 2 cents

I dont know anything about this guy. But maybe he is what they need. I am interested to see Auburns new coach. Just wonder when the blue turf is going to be installed!

I dont expect to be in a conference playoff anytime soon, I just think they rolled over to the NCAA and wouldnt hire a more capable coach due to fear of repercussions from them and negative stories from reporters if they. Its whatever. I think he went the "safe" route. I would like to see them double down flip the bird to the NCAA like everyone else does and get a coach that cancget it done. Time will tell if he can do it or not.

I have no clue what you are talking about when it comes to "negative reprecussions" so they "rolled over" for the ncaa? Can you elaborate on that?

So they turned over everything pruitt did in the hopes they will be given a lenient sanction by ncaa for his receuiting violations. Other places like LSU were recorded buying recruits and have refused to cooperate with Ncaa investigators and their basketball coach is still there. Kansas the same. Ncaa will hammer us no matter what so IMO they should have gotten freeze or kiffin who both had previous ncaa issues since at least they are proven coaches. Hopefully they wont drag this investigation out for 2 years and just lay down the sanctions and we can move on.
