Brian from Torrent has really scored with the freeride for this year! He has spent ALOT of time and considerable financial risk making 2020 possible in a new location after the last crappy hotel closing down.
He flew down this weekend, and we met yesterday at the Hard Rock hotel in Daytona for further event planning. We met with the hotel event staff, toured the facilities, looked at rooms, etc. The hotel is working hard to work with us for the event.
Brian had to catch a plane home, and I spent the rest of the day walking the hotel grounds again, checking beach accesses, parking, etc. There will be challenges like every year, but I left feeling very good about the new setup for 2020. I will do a longer post with hotel pics, etc. later and so will Brian.
All I can say is wow!
Please everyone get your rooms (nicest rooms and hotel ever for Daytona by far) reserved soon. We are on the third block of rooms already, and not sure how many more will be released at our special freeride rates. Hotel has said that they should be able to accommodate all who are staying at the hotel with trailer parking. Hotel said to request trailer parking when you reserve in the notes section.
