I was talking with my local dealer last week. They were told by Yamaha Canada that all dealers WERE getting 2, but it has since changed. Anyone with a deposit they were instructed to call the customer and get their deposits back. The new supply for Canada is basically a hat draw now. All dealers names go into a draw and whomever is drawn out of the supply of skis will be who gets one, not two, one. So it seems that Yamaha massively underestimated the interest in the new SJ and well underproduced. My local dealer had a deposit on one too but they had to call the customer as per instructed by Yamaha. They're not sure if they will even get one now.

thats a Negative Ghost rider, we have received shipping Comfirmation on the SJ, Its due to hit the shop in November , or at least thats what Yamaha said. We have started to get our 2021 Yamaha Waverunners in tho. GP1800's, SVHO's and some EX's

So if there is only 650 In us and only allowed 2 per dealer , how they making money . Dosent seem like it's worth it for them . But sure glad there will be a few around. Buddy preordered 1 and was told January or February For delivery . Phoenix

My dealer called me today to tell me that he was going to return my preorder $ because he only got 1 superjet . And did not think that he would get any more for some time. I called 3 other dealerships they also only got 1 unit. So plan on alot of people getting screwed over.

Meanwhile, somebody who knows absolutely nothing about them will walk in to a random dealer in the middle of nowhere and get one for a steal because they don't think they could sell it otherwise.

If I walked into a dealership and saw one on the floor, I'd be hard pressed to not buy it on the spot "just because".

Then I'd cram that drivetrain into my Matrix. :cool:

Paid deposit in August.
Told probably Nov to 2021.
Deposit returned in Sept, dealer only allocated 4 and I was 8 on the list. Think a few people backed out, but love lost for the whole deal and I'll just ride what I've got lol.

This inventory page is not publicly available for access. Looks like a dealer type of inventory search. Looks like the first ones are starting to ship. Someone called these dealers and the the SJ4 is not there so the assumption is they are in route for delivery. Perhaps gsxral1000 knows or can confirm?
