2023 Superjet with hull damage. Fix options?

There is a lot of conflicting info going on on these skis , on the specs I pull up it says it's SMC , but the damaged areas look like GELCOAT to me , then this article says it's gelcoat , at this point I would be calling a dealership and finding out exactly what it is made of before ordering anything .

Will call around to make sure, as everyone I've talked to agrees it's gelcoat. I already ordered the US composites white you linked this morning though. It was cheap enough if it isn't it NBD

I have a gelcoat chip missing on the rear corner of a Seadoo I am working on now, only spot on the whole ski , I will put up a post and walk you through the repair , your spots will be a lot bigger, the process is the same , I will also walk you through tinting the gelcoat since this on is the funky Seadoo oyster color and I am either using white gelcoat just like you have or gelcoat paste.

I appreciate it. I’ve done glass on my SNs a long long time ago so I have a small idea, but I definitely need a walkthrough and I don’t think glassing is necessary here especially for what I paid. It’s a jet ski not a girl if I can get it patched up and sound and ride for a few years I’m happy

If only there was a pre thickened, high strength epoxy that was already tinted white for around $20.....
Yep you are right , that will look great on those Black chips on the bottom of the ski , there are a million ways to do it, but only one way to do it right

Dude. Reading isn't your strong point is it? His ski is white. Top and bottom. All the new superjets are.

Actually reading is my strong suit, I have never even see a four stroke Superjet , I am going by the pics he posted of the bottom of the ski, sure looks awfully dark to be white .

The pics he posted of the black bottom deck aren't of his ski, just an example of damage. His SJ is all white.

Alrighty then, not sure why you would post pics of someone elses damaged ski but I concede your point .
I was showing an example of the damage to get ideas since I didn't plan on being home until May 10th. I'm working 7 12s 2 away hours from home, but decided to drive home Tuesday to get actual pictures - post #15 is my pictures my ski

No problem I did not read that post just looked at the pics , my mistake, I will own it..

I still say Marinetex is garbage though and I have used everything out there over the years , Marintex , Seagoing epoxy putty , West system epoxy and too many more to count.

I really thought these were painted but that definitely appears to be gelcoat. If you go with gelcoat with a thickened epoxy or even a layup make sure you go with an epoxy like total boat or West systems. Some won't bond with gelcoat. I've had great luck on my 50 footer with west systems adhering to gelcoat. Check out "all about gelcoat .." group on FB. Some pretty good tips. Make sure before you sand the epoxy layup, you hit it with warm water and a red scotch pad to get rid of the blush. Sanding pushes it around you'll still have issues w/ gelcoat bonding.
