Using a titanium alloy bit for my drill I CNC'd an impeller using precise motor skills and a 6,000 RPM Black and Decker multiple axis, variable speed, variable bit size, brush motor powered hammer drill. Using TLAR and some common enginuity, it was quite simple to CNC a simple variable pitch impeller out of plastic, which will not only act as a lightened flywheel, but the pitch flattens at high RPM for better low end, while it expands during lows, so you get a high speed idle capable of maintaining plane, and when you want to get into the power, the torque is multiplied by a factor of about 5.6. This number is an approximate however, and with a few different materials I am working with in the future, this number is expected to GROW!
an interesting concept there.
Your plastic impeller is inferior to my ceiling fan in so many ways. Mine is cast zinc and wood, yours is just plastic.
