I bumped into him and asked him how the 212 HP X2 was going. He said "what 212 HP X2?" Apperently he's getting 21 HP out of it and this has all just been the result of a typo.

Sorry guys... You've wasted countless hours of your lives. They will pair well with the countless other hours you've wasted in your lives.

...so has anyone bothered calling gordy or anyone he has said knows about this?? i'll admit some of the stuff he's spouted off sounded legit but that picture bust left me laughing my ass off hahaha.

i mean seriously...i could understand some of the parts being machined out of inconel...but the whole motor? even formula 1 motors arent made out of that stuff, just the exhausts.

hell i could understand most what he was saying and i'm not even an engineer, i have just done a lot of research on aerospace and the like...i got into Gas Turbine Engines as a hobby and wanted to build my own so i started research...now there are a lot of parts in modern FULL SIZE turbine engines that are fabricated out of alloys like Inconel and Hastelloy...but most of its just SS and Alum, hell i even had to fork out some $$ for some parts in my engine to be made out of Inconel to stand up to the heat...yeah theres no way even if he made $300K+ a year he would be able to afford the machining time and amount of materials he would need...no freakin way.

Put this into perspective...for a 3"x1" block of Inconel i had to buy for my parts...$8,000...now that right there should have deterred me from this new hobby of mine but it didnt...just a good loan from the bank :p

so yeah...WAY too much money whether he could really do it or not.

true alot of the stuff would work. and even the fuel makes sence like using a small amount of hydrogen peroxide on a siver catylist as an ignitions system . They use that in the rocket packs that stunt people use but it is the details that will get you in the end . Of course a rotory engine would have worked better and a turbine engine is great until you put water in the mix. For how simple turbines look they sure get expensive even the model airplane ones. So good luck to you azreark1.
