2 is fine that is what I wear every ride. Expecailly if the water is that warm. I don't switch to my 3/4 till the water temp drops way down. But if I only had my 2mm it would work all year, I would just try a bit harder not to fall in the winter

in a pinch I know just a plain shortie light nylon windbreaker put over a 2 mill will make a huge difference , it has saved me on occasion , FWIW , it also make a big difference if you have sunshine or not .

x2 yep ive got to the water before and the air temp was colder that comfortable, the only thing else that I had was a tshirt and once the shirt got wet it really helped.

i test rode my first ski in jersey in january in a mineral quarry an half the lake was frozen an all i had was a 4/3, booties, and gloves. surfed an jetski'd in the ocean when there was snow on the beach in a 4/3 with booties and gloves. hood helps ALOT but my best advice is to bring a thermos of warm water with you and dump it down the suit. so theres no warm up time an no cold rush when the water gets in ur suit. after that all u gotta do is stay movin. worst part is taken it off

Air temperature isn't what you should be concerned about, its water temp that matters most. Most wetsuits, even thin ones like a 2mil will give you adequate protection against wind chill. However as soon as the suit gets wet its a whole new story. 2mils OK for 65 degree water but you're right on the line towards needing a little thicker suit

Don't forget about a hood and gloves as well. I got quite cold yesterday although it was like 50* and 20knots

I get mine wet usually just with warmish water then stand out in the cool air for a little while while I'm launching the ski. You lose most of your body heat through your head and feet, so keeping them warm too is a must if you're a vag like me and hate cold water.

Worst part for me isn't taking it off though... I wear that thing all the way home and jump in the shower with it on

I wore a cheap 3/2 for years and it was pretty good, but just bought a henderson hyperflex amp 4/3 and it's freakin sweet. I just rode last Saturday out of Corsons and it was perfect.
