300/440/550 300/440/550 Which one?

Searching for a first stand up, but I am around 230. Am I going to need a 550?

Also, with the older kawasaki JS300/440/550 handle jumping waves and stuff? I don't plan on doing flips or anything, just playing in the waves. I know the hulls are thinner on these old skis.

Thanks
Tom

your a lil heavy for any of those choices...

all would work but would struggle...

a 550SX has a ton of power for a 550, so you could get away with one of those.

But in my opinion for a guy/girl of you size go with at least a kawi or yami 650

Stand ups are cheap and plentiful in FL. You should get a Superjet. If you are wanting to go cheap get a Superjet Squarenose with a 701 in it. I weigh 235 and it has no problem jumping out of the water.

This is an old post, figured I'd update it. I ended up with a 440. No problem at all when I was 230, but I've lost weight, now I'm 215. It's still super fun.

Still losing weight also, which means it will become more fun.
