Custom/Hybrid 300 hull for flat water?

So I've heard abouut people using a Kawasaki 300 hull with a bigger motor. I was wondering how much work it would entail to put a 701 In and get it braaaping. If someone could please answer some of my questions about this.
Here are things I was thinking I'd have to do and questions
- rocker front? Shortened hull or already short?
-motor mounts? Would a 701 need different motor mounts to fit inside?
- b pipe/ exhaust fitting/ fitting
- exhaust? Side to back or could I run it to stock hole?
- pump?
- steering/ hand Pole?
I'm a 16 year old so I have a lot of time but not a lot of money :/ that's why I'm thinking about trying to do this. Any input welcome, thanks

there are 3 or 4 of them floating around the Michigan area. They are fun, but all handle different because they are different takes on a custom build and not even close to the same.

Rather than messing with conversion kits, fitment issues with pipes, waterboxes, mid shaft housing, not to mention having to change the pump and all of those mounts. I think the better route and easier route is to find a dirt cheap or free square nose hull, cut the bottom off with the midshaft wall and glass that onto a 300 hull. Then you at least have something decent to work with engine and pump wise. Check my build out. Keep in mind, build and material costs add up quick.

Please, waste your time. Ok, I AM joking. Just get a ski that runs. Ride it. If you want to flip, spend a bunch on a proven ski.

Just ride what you have. Save up for something that will actually get the job done. Rockered and shortened superjet is still 120+ lbs and you'll probably still need a surf wave to get it around especially if you have no money for a motor.

Or just buy my carbon chan for 2k. It's rideable the way it is, but you could fix a few spots and make it perfect. All your 701 parts will bolt right in

I went the rocker chop route...save yourself and wait. I already put too much time and money into my sj hull, so I'm committed haha.

I did this one time.
Trust me, just start with my chan.
You'll spend a lot more than you would think building your own.

The whole project gives me nightmares..lol
Na I wish I had it back just so I could go flip it. Never seen a video of anyone doing it. I know I could if I had it back.

yea, i have had a couple projects like that also.
i had the same pole, it damn near folded in half on me. think i ended up getting 3 dollars in scrap value at the recyclers.

sorry to the op for the brief thread derail

Sorry, I was wrestling all of yesterday, I wish that chan wasn't so far so i could go and look at it... how would I get it here ship? How much would that be roughly? General consensus is that a 300 hull wouldn't be worth it? What is that pole on the 300?

That pole is custom. For the price of that chan you can not go wrong.. With a 701 and enough practice you will be able to flip it and it would be more fun than any 300 hull.
Shipping a hull only costs like 300$. It's well worth it!
